Probiotics
are increasingly present in production, with even small-scale
companies specializing in their manufacturing.
Probiotics
come in the form of more or less concentrated beverages or in solid
phase.
The
production process can be summarized as follows: a first phase
involves the development of the strain of these live microorganisms,
a second phase of fermentation with water and other substances, and
then a final phase of concentrating the cells separated from their
growth medium. To separate our probiotics from the water (growth
medium), a vertical disc separator is used, which continuously,
self-cleans, and effectively completes the job.
A
centrifuge for food use is recommended.
