Some
fruits are oleaginous, meaning they contain a significant amount of
oil that needs to be separated from its solid and aqueous components.
Typically,
the oily part is in smaller quantities compared to the aqueous phase.
Thus,
this liquid phase can be separated in one step, taking into account
the percentages of oil and water.
Using
filters for an oily phase is not recommended.
It
is crucial for an experienced consultant to identify the correct
separator, as to an untrained eye, all centrifuges might seem to work
the same way, but this is not the case. While all centrifuges use
centrifugal force to separate liquids with different specific
weights, the specific requirements based on the quantities of the
internal product (light liquid phase and heavy liquid phase)
necessitate different, non-interchangeable centrifuges.
