Methanol
is produced from natural gas. The resulting product is a liquid with
the same characteristics as methyl alcohol and is therefore sought
after as a fuel for aircraft, ships, and other modes of
transportation.
However,
this liquid needs to be purified of solid contaminants that have
formed during processing and storage.
To
address this issue, the liquid should be passed through a vertical
disc separator, which continuously cleans the methanol in a single
pass, making it suitable for various applications, including its use
as a fuel.
Given
the nature of the product, a centrifuge designed for hazardous
materials is recommended.
