Latex
is obtained from the sap of certain trees found primarily in the
equatorial region.
Once
collected, this sap needs to be purified from its contaminants,
including organic ones characteristic of the product's collection
process.
Filters
are not recommended in this case, as vertical centrifuge separators
clean the sap in a self-cleaning, efficient, continuous manner in a
single pass.
Vertical
tubular centrifuges, which offer even greater centrifugal force than
standard vertical separators, are also used for this application.
