The
production of ink results in a liquid that, during the manufacturing
process, becomes contaminated with solid components, making the ink
unsuitable for use in printing machinery.
Therefore,
these solid particles, even if present in minimal amounts, need to be
removed.
A
vertical centrifuge separator uses centrifugal force to separate
small suspended particles from the liquid, leaving the ink clean.
Vertical
tubular centrifuges, which have even greater centrifugal force than
standard vertical separators, are also used for this application, for
example, for ink used in common ballpoint pens or similar products.
