In
ceramic production, machinery is used that consumes a large amount of
water.
It
is desirable to undertake all possible strategies for water recovery
wherever possible.
The
decanter helps us with this: by using a horizontal decanter
centrifuge with a screw conveyor, we can significantly thicken the
solid part and separate the clarified aqueous phase.
A
vibrating screen can also be used in the initial phase to skim off
most of the macroscopic solid parts that would be intercepted by the
decanter and could cause premature wear.
